Portfolio page set up

I love the theme and I am just finding my way around so please bear with me! I have a couple of questions that I can’t figure out…

1) I am having difficulty creating my portfolio page. I have tried to use the page called: 4 Col Grid Full width as a base and then customise the rows with my ideal height etc. When I preview the page my top row including heading, divider and heading are not showing and the next row containing the portfolio grid show butted up to the top.

I do not know why this area on the portfolio page does not show? Could you please help? I have followed the documentation and the elements show in the visual composer but not on the live preview.

2) I want to have the portfolio items in gallery scroll but can’t understand how to add more than one image. I have tried to select 2 images in the uploaded images area but they do not show.
