Video background in testimonials does not play on iPhone

I am using the horizontal scrolling testimonial feature with a video background. Is there a way to get the video to play on an iPhone (smartphone) when viewing my site? Currently there is no background (just the testimonials) on my iPhone.

If there is no setting for this, is there a way to have a default background of some kind appear on the iPhone?
